Dos Perros

Durham, NC

Located in the historic Rogers Alley Building, Dos Perros is a restaurant that attempts to marry the menu concept with the built environment. The design of Dos Perros provides an upscale facility that is appropriately suited to the sophisticated menu. The existing architectural fabric of the building was featured in the design with wood floors, wood framing and pressed tin ceilings. In addition to the large dining area, the project included a substantial bar, outdoor patio and a lower level private meeting area. Interior design and color selections were informed by the owner’s collection of Mexican movie posters.

The project utilizes a geothermal heat pump system installed as part of the LEED certified restoration of the building shell.
