Guilford College United Methodist Church

Greensboro, NC

The Guilford College UMC project involved the design of a new 600 seat sanctuary, choir, chapel room and associated support space. The sanctuary was laid out in a convivial arrangement with a pulpit center chancel. The sloped floor and three-sided balcony provided excellent lines of sight from every seating area. The series of twelve stained glass windows provide a contemporary interpretation of the stations of the cross. The liturgical furnishings and chancel equipment were designed to compliment the surrounding worship space. The project architect, a church member, completed the project while a member of another architectural firm.
