Genesis UMC

Koinonia Place is a meeting and multi-use space for the Congregation of Genesis UMC. The new space links the various program areas of the facility and provides a central gathering spot for pre- and post-worship activities and discipleship. Supported by an adjacent warming kitchen, the space accommodates fellowship and dining functions. Substantial glazing, facing High House Road, provides attractive views and invites passersby to experience the campus. The project included a daycare addition, choir suite and a covered pick-up / drop-off that establishes a literal and figurative front door for the church. The design harmoniously blends with the existing campus and provides a unifying and welcoming public image to the community.
