Good Shepherd Gardens

Good Shepherd Gardens is a nineteen unit congregate housing community for seniors located on the grounds of Sacred Heart Parish in Salisbury, NC. Located on a steeply sloping lot, the design maximizes views of the surrounding wooded property. The facility includes a water source heat pump system that balances building heating and cooling loads with constant ground temperatures. The 540 square feet, one bedroom apartments share ample commons areas that include a multi-use room, computer/office, fellowship spaces and storage. The project was completed as a joint venture between the Catholic Diocese of Charlotte, the N.C. Housing Foundation and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
