Located on a rise overlooking a large pond and natural area, the Willow Pond Project is a 50 unit senior housing project that was completed as part of the North Carolina Housing Tax Credit Program. The project includes a mix of one and two bedroom apartments for seniors that meet rental assistance guidelines. To limit disturbance and to maximize views, building and parking are located toward the front of the 12 acre site. The three-story, 64,000 sf building includes a community room with warming kitchen, exercise room, computer center and parlor. Exterior amenities include a covered pick-up / drop-off, siting porch and lighted walking path. Community spaces are located at the center of the plan, on each level, and are flanked by resident apartments and support spaces.
